- It is so ironic that the earth is advancing yet, we tend to grow backwards.
We have discovered the importance of cultivating and developing our thoughts, opinions, and philosophies and use all the available means to spread it, yet we require others to approve of it, to agree with it. Even though we know perfectly that we are our own classification. That is how we believe ourselves to be, right.? Unique, incomparable. And if at times we feel average, we claw our way up to the surface, use the head and shoulders of the other so that we can reach the top. But we want the world to accept it as natural way of “striving”. Because otherwise, the world is restricting our development as human beings.
- Prayer needs bravery to ask for what you want and what you need. You defend that you need what you want. You need to be brave to face the consequences, to actually get the answer. When you pray you are vulnerable. Positioned for a 21 gun salute, you are in a weak position yet you need to be there.
- Someone will always knock on your door. Will respectfully take their hat off and present a seemingly beautiful gift wrapped artfully, confetti cut outs and all. It will be beautiful that you will overlook the disclaimer that comes with it: Temporary.
And just like that you will realise that they are the gift. When the time comes, give it to them for tiptoeing their way out. Let your self believe that it was as respectful as one can be when they’re ready to leave.
- It is like stumbling upon a book. A good one. The kind that you did not expect to find, but you did. You opened it, not having the slightest idea about its contents, and realising it is actually quite good. Beautiful even. You’re not sure yet if you would want to sit down and finish it but you’re certain you dont want to drop it yet.
